The Demon Accords is John Conroe's urban-fantasy series, bringing supernatural abilities and communities into a contemporary world. It is also the source of Sisters Erie and College Arcane, two starting points for projects Clint has developed into websites, artwork, music, and an expanding fictional continuity.
For Zwikipedia, the connection is unusually productive. A band mentioned in a novel became something with member pages and songs. A magical college became the starting point for a university with a broader institutional life. The source and the adaptations each have their own place.
The original series
The opening novel, God Touched, introduces Chris Gordon, a New York police officer with an unusual ability to confront supernatural threats, and Tatiana “Tanya” Demidova, a powerful vampire whose connection with Chris draws him further into the supernatural world. The series develops a world in which supernatural identities, powerful organizations, and personal loyalties meet contemporary institutions.
Executable, the sixth book, brings Declan O'Carroll and a new set of characters into focus. Conroe's official description places the seventeen-year-old in Castlebury, Vermont, dealing with abilities that make an ordinary teenage life difficult. The book is particularly relevant to the Sisters Erie project: the band's appearance and the descriptions of its members and performances supplied material Clint could build upon.
Sisters Erie
Clint's Creating Sisters Erie describes the path from reading Conroe's work to making personal tee-shirts, then a band website and original music. The tour shirt needed plausible stops, so Clint worked out an itinerary. The website needed profiles, so the sisters needed more individual detail. Music made the project audible.
Those additions include expanded personalities, a release history, songs, and connections among places and events. They are Clint's creative development from Conroe's starting material. The first-person creation articles make that relationship explicit and explain how individual choices arose.
College Arcane and Arcana University
College Arcane belongs to Conroe's original setting. Arcana University is Clint's expansion in Crossroads, where different worlds and systems of magic can meet.
In that continuity, the institution develops into AU in 2024 and is situated in Silver Hollow. This development does not replace or revise College Arcane in Conroe's books. Readers can follow the original institution in the series and Clint's version in the Arcana University article and Creating Arcana University.
